A small charge for mileage incurred will also be applied. Discount availiable if I am clipping 3 or more horses in one location.

I am able to clip horses in most areas of South Wales. I currently live in Rhydlewis, South West Wales, and I am frequently in the Abergavenny area too.  I will also travel up to Mid-Wales (Aberystwyth/Machynlleth/Newtown etc) and I am also frequently in the West Midlands areas of Telford/Wolverhampton.

I am willing to clip young, nervous or ticklish horses, and will take as much time as is required in order to get the clip done patiently and calmly

In the interests of my own safety and longevity of my clipping equipment, I will not clip horses who are known to be malicious or dangerous while being clipped.

I reserve the right to refuse to clip an animal if I believe my safety or safety of others will be compromised in anyway.  In the event of such an occurence the full charge for milage incurred, and charge for the intended clip will still apply.

All clipping is done by myself, Jo Griffiths. I am 24 years old and have a lifetime experience in handling and riding all types of horses, from Shetlands and riding school ponies through to show jumpers and race horses.

I graduated from the University of Wales Aberystwyth in 2007, with an honours degree in Equine Science and I have owned and competed my own horses for over 10 years, at both local and affiliated level.

Below left I am pictured with one of my horses after winning two turnout classes, and placing in a further three classes for breeding and type.  I am pictured below right with the same horse, practising over an oxer at home.

I have been clipping, trimming and turning out horses for competition and hunting for over 10 years. References are available if required.

I clip both my own and clients horses with my own set of Heiniger Delta horse clippers, which I keep solely for my own use and do not hire out. These are a set of dual speed, quiet running, heavy duty clippers, also designed for clipping cattle, and are capable of clipping the coarsest of animal hair.

Here is 'Tosh' a 41.2hh cob type gelding, who benefitted hugely from a chaser clip, leg clip and hogging.
